What is “CROSS TRAIN YOUR FAITH”?
A few years ago we conducted a very informative and helpful Bible Study at Queen of the Universe which included “A Quick Journey Through the Bible”, “The Bible Timeline”, and “Thy Kingdom Come – A Short Course on the Gospel of Matthew”.
At the end of each program the participants were surveyed to find out what they thought about the program. One of the items on that survey was an opportunity for participants to express their suggestions and ideas concerning what they would like to learn about. Quite frequently people expressed the desire to learn more about their faith not available in a Bible Study program.
The team decided that since we would be covering other topics as well as Scripture we should change our name. “CROSS TRAIN YOUR FAITH” is a result of those responses. We also created our own distinctive logo.
It is the intent of CROSS TRAIN YOUR FAITH to make available studies, topics and programs that will address more than Scripture, as well as Bible Study Programs – to help us all learn about more basics of our great faith than just studying the Scriptures, as important as that is.
Other programs we have presented are:
- “Catholicism”
- “Stories of Our Faith”
- “The Rosary”
- “The O Antiphons”
- “End of Life Decisions”
- “The Early Church”
- “Walking Toward Eternity” Series Two: “Engaging the Struggles of Your Heart”
- “The Scriptorium – The Story of the Bible”
- “KINGDOM OF DAVID – THE SAGA OF THE ISRAELITES”
- “Galatians: Set Free to Live”
- “PETER & PAUL And the Christian Revolution”
- “A Biblical Walk Through the Mass”
All sessions are conducted in the Parish Center on the Wednesdays at 9:30 AM and 7:00 PM.
There is no charge to participate. Some of the programs have workbooks and other material which are available for a nominal cost if desired.
Watch the “Cross Train Your Faith” column in the Sunday bulletin for information about future plans.
