The married couples on the team will share their knowledge of Church teaching and experiences of living the sacrament of matrimony with you.
Kristina & Bobby Allen
Kristina & Bobby were married in 2009. They have been members of QU since 2012, since moving to Levittown. Kristina is originally from Northern New Jersey, and Bobby was raised in Levittown as a member of St. Joseph the Worker Parish. Both lived in New Jersey after getting married, just long enough for Bobby to steal Kristina to PA. Both come from a Catholic background.
Kristina & Bobby met at Lycoming College, where they both attended, 7 years apart. Both are active in many ministries at QU including Marriage Prep and Pre-Jordan (Baptism). Bobby is also involved with the QU Adult Choir, Cantor, Men’s Gospel Group, and a ChristLife Facilitator. They have been involved with the Marriage Preparation program since 2013.
Bobby & Kristina have two children. Bobby is the new Director of Faith Formation at Queen of the Universe Parish. Kristina works for an Insurance Agent located in Langhorne, as a commercial insurance broker.
Caitlyn & Josh Griffin
Michael & Kathleen Joyce
Cheryl & John Murray
Maria & Tom Miller
Maria & Tom were married in 1994. They have been members of QU since 1997. Both come from a Catholic background and attended either all or part of elementary and secondary education in a parochial school.
Maria & Tom both were active in their alma mater’s Newman Center (a Catholic student organization on secular college campuses). The Newman Center ministry helped form them as adult Catholics and taught them the significance of lay involvement in the church. Most importantly, they experienced the joy resulting from offering service to the God’s people through the church. They have been involved with the Marriage Preparation program since 1999, and coordinating the ministry since 2000.
Maria & Tom have three children. Tom is employed with a bank and Maria works at home raising their children and running her own editorial business.
“We enjoy working with the engaged couples and sharing with them the joy of Catholic marriage. We feel the topics we cover, which are really the building blocks of marriage to which any married couple could speak on—is a worthwhile investment into the future families of our Faith. An unexpected benefit is how each session makes us take a closer look at how our relationship is doing and how we can improve our marriage.”
Katrina & Fran Rapposelli
Fran & Katrina were married in 1991. They have been members of QU since 2001. Both come from a Catholic background and attended either all or part of elementary and secondary education in a parochial school. They have two beautiful kids that currently are alter servers for QU. Fran currently works as an electrical designer for a power company. He has been involved with QU since 1998 in the music ministry and has since also substituted occasionally for the Prep classes in 2010-11. Katrina is an Analyst for a company associated with Educational Testing Services. She has been a Prep teacher since 2010. Fran and Katrina have both been a part of the Marriage prep program since 2010 and enjoy helping out and sharing ideas with couples that are looking to finally “take the plunge!!”
“We stress the importance of recognizing communication and respect as being the corner stones of a successful marriage. A marriage is a constant ‘work in progress’ that continues to grow just as your love for each other does.”
The team is always looking for parishioners to join us in our ministry. Please see Getting Involved.
