Hospitality (Social) Ministry
Members of this ministry provide opportunities for fellowship Sundays following Masses throughout the year. This team also comes together to plan with the pastoral staff various “Fun” social gatherings throughout the year in order to enjoy and get to know each other a little better. This team also provides hospitality throughout the year following various meetings and events as scheduled on the parish calendar.
Queens and Kings Travel Team
This group arranges various opportunities for trips of various interests, whether locally, nationally, or internationally. For example, pilgrimages to Philadelphia shrines, Lancaster or N Y Broadway plays, The Grande Canyon water rafting or Rome. This list could be endless in providing leisure time away even at a local sports ball game.
Information Technology Committee
This advisory group of experts helps the parish with a state of the art website and it’s active maintenance, establishment of electronic giving, and ongoing applications of how the computer and technology can help in worship, parish news, and in reaching out to others who are inquiring about Queen of the Universe parish community.
Literature Library Group
The purpose of this group is to establish with the pastor and pastoral staff one area in the Church for the best religious literature in order to support our faith and spirituality. This group would oversee the information materials, racks, and bulletin boards in the church.
Fundraising Committee
Members of this committee serve the community by coordinating and planning effective parish fundraisers throughout the year so that the parish can pay the bills and expand the ministries and activities of the parish community. This group works with the pastor and the parish finance council.
Tuition Assistance Committee
Members of this committee assist the pastor in reviewing a request and/or procedures for tuition assistance from the parish community so that a parish member’s child or children can enter and remain in Holy Family Regional Catholic School. This committee would also help establish a catholic education fund for parishioners who would like to sponsor a child for catholic education.
God’s Green Gardeners Team
This group cares for the parish flower beds and pots throughout the seasons of spring, summer, and autumn. This group surveys the landscape for future development of green prayer space on the grounds. If winter lovers, Christmas lights on trees can be hung!
