Welcome to Queen of the Universe Parish.
Our Parish was formed on July 1, 2014 by the merger of Immaculate Conception Parish and the original Queen of the Universe Parish. Immaculate Conception was founded in 1954 with Fr. Arthur Elliott as pastor. Queen of the Universe was founded in 1955 with Fr. James Coyle as pastor. Both were thriving centers of worship and education well into the 1980's. With changing demographics and the tremendous drop in mass attendance, something had to give. First, the area schools formed a Regional Elementary School. The next logical step was to merge the area parishes from four to two with St. Joseph the Worker Parish merging with St. Frances Cabrini.
The task of creating one new parish from two had presented us all with many challenges and many opportunities. A parish is not the buildings that comprise it. Rather it is the people filled with the Holy Spirit who engage each other in the work of the Lord to build up his Kingdom upon the earth. To accomplish this work we need your time, your talent and your treasure. The Spirit calls each of us to serve the Church in whatever way we can.
I hope you like our website. These pages will show you the many opportunities to serve and be an active member of our parish. I encourage you to read it over. Is there something that attracts you; something you would like to engage?
If there is something that you need and we can be of assistance, feel free to ask myself or Father Manny. We really are here for you. Again, Welcome!

Father John Weber, Pastor
